After leaving him in hiding for 16 years, in 2011 the Feds finally arrested Whitey Bulger and tried him for 19 murders and several other crimes that he committed while being protected by the FBI. While in custody, Bulger continued to enjoy VIP treatment for several years until the day he decided to tell the Department of Justice that the four FBI agents John Durham prosecuted for corruption were not the only FBI agents on his payroll.
Within a week, he was moved to a West Virginia prison in “protective custody” so that he could meet with DC Feds to trade the names of the other corrupt FBI agents for his freedom.
He was not in West Virginia four hours before he was beaten to death with a pillow case full of padlocks.
I wonder if the Feds will use the same “protective custody” officers when they move Sam Bankman-Fried. They already made it very clear that they do not want him answering any questions, ever.

The Biden Administration refuses to answer whether they will return any of the millions of dollars in illegal contributions China Joe’s campaign received from the FTX founder. His refusal reminded me of Slick Willy Clinton’s first presidential campaign, back when the DNC actually had some morals.
The Democrat Party became so concerned with some of Clinton’s campaign contributions that they hired their own private investigator to look into them. Within one week he reported that the Chinese government was funneling payments to the Clinton campaign through employees at Slick Willy’s best friend’s restaurant.
The DNC mandated that the Clintons return all of the illegal contributions and immediately notified the FEC that the money was being returned.
Hillary Clinton reportedly threatened several DNC employees and told them she would spend the rest of her life ruining theirs. And see did. Everyone at the DNC connected to the investigation was fired within the first month of Slick Willy and his enforcer moving into the White House.

Speaking of corrupt authoritarian governments, Iran has already arrested, tried, and convicted 28 people connected to the riots that began last month when that government killed a woman for not being dressed properly. Iran is not like the USA, where people live on death row for decades. They already have started the executions and announced that they should have all 28 people executed before Christmas, including world-famous soccer star Amir Nasr-Azadani. Three of the other people sentenced to death are children. They plan several more trials and executions before the end of the year.
The Biden Administration refuses to condem the government murders, notwithstanding the Puppet President’s attacks on Saudi Arabia for a single dissident being murdered outside of that country by people connected to that government. The Saudis executed those they claim were responsible.
Apparently, if you are an ally of the USA China Joe will attack you. If you are an enemy, he will open his arms to greet you. That is exactly what China has instructed him to do.

The Florida Legislature is having a special session to pass legislation proposed by the insurance industry to lower our property insurance premiums. While I would like to see my premiums reduced since I now pay more for insurance than I do for my mortgage, (with a $30,000, hurricane deductible) the likely changes are horrible. They will reduce the amount of attorneys’ fees homeowners can recover when they have to sue their insurance company (Blasphemy!) and also require separate flood insurance policies that will do nothing to reduce the total insurance cost to consumers.
Like many things today, this is a problem that was already solved. Floridians are paying high insurance premiums to subsidize hurricane damages caused to properties along the coast, especially properties on the barrier islands.
More than 40 years ago Florida recognized this problem and passed legislation to “save our shores” by limiting development on barrier islands and using surplus funds to purchase property on those islands for state parks. The legislation was abandoned when developers and large landowners convinced the legislature and local governments that they could greatly increase tax revenues by allowing over development.
Nature built the “barrier” islands for a reason. If we would reverse the development on the islands, we could reverse one of the major causes of red tide, reduce insurance premiums for everyone, and provide more beach area for the enjoyment of the increasing population of this state.
Of course, that would require some people to overcome greed, pride, and envy, three of the deadliest sins.

As the final game approaches, Qatar says the World Cup has been a success. . . because more people attended the games than died building the stadia in which they were played.
Vive la France!

It always amazes me, when we talk about insurance, that legislators continually find ways to regulate insurers but NEVER consider making them do what they are being paid to do - without everyone needing a lawyer! Pay the claims, no more exceptions, do what you get the premiums to do. Insure us! It's insane how hard it is to make that simply concept understandable.
First time our son came to The Villages to see us. We drove by the Coleman Facility. He looked to see who had been there. I think Whitey was there then. He wanted to go visit him. Told him I didn't think it could happen.
