I used to laugh when Jay Leno would do jaywalking on the Tonight Show. I was amazed at how stupid some people could be. Then I was at a nightclub in Paris. My wife and I had to sit quietly as the MC made fun of ignorant, uneducated Americans brought on stage from the audience (we were smart enough not to volunteer). At first, I was convinced that they were actors because I could not believe how stupid they were. After the show, we went up to a couple of them and discovered on our own that they were ignorant, uneducated Americans. It was sad.
When I got back, I asked everybody in my office in what year was the “shot heard around the world”? Excluding lawyers, nobody got it right (1775).
I am not suggesting lawyers have a monopoly on intelligence. Believe me. Anyone who has spent at least five minutes in a courtroom knows that is the furthest thing from the truth.
Yet, it was so troubling that I started teaching American history one lunch a month. Hey, they got a free lunch. Although the subject changed, I did this for at least the next 15 years. It was amazing what simple facts people, even people holding college degrees, do not know.

Things today appear to be even worse. A man who obviously should be in some sort of an insane asylum stood up and sliced the neck of the person sitting in front of him on a train for no apparent reason. Yes it was stupid to allow him to be out on his own.
It was more obviously stupid for Jasmine Crockett to claim that the murderer should be forgiven because some people need to steal to feed themselves. Has she never had anybody explain logic to her? Had she never sat in a math class? How could anyone that stupid get elected to anything?

Well, she is not alone. The European Union decided to ban some nail polish after figuring out that it contains carcinogens, which are fatal to humans. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), said there was no cause for concern because the European ban is the result of studies that were paid for by the governments and they are suspect. The FDA said they have reviewed numerous studies paid for by the manufacturers of these substances and they all conclude that the nail polish is safe. Imagine that!
When I called the FDA to ask them if they have learned nothing from the tobacco industry they got very defensive. Their press office told me that I was trying to make them out as the bad guys. I said, “If the shoe fits . . .” Click.
Should they be convinced that the nail polish is dangerous, the FDA will ban it within 4 to 5 decades. Ahhh, the red-dye-#3 approach.

Speaking of stupidity affecting the health of Americans, Robert Kennedy stood up against the corrupt politicians last Thursday. By the end of the day they had attacked him personally so much that he was probably more worn out than Kamala Harris after a fraternity party.
The difference was that Kennedy was not the one lying on his back. He was able to easily bat down the attacks by simply using his intelligence against the complete stupidity of the people attacking him. If you haven’t seen it, it is worth a watch on the Internet. It certainly was more entertaining to me than anything the NFL put on in the last week.

On Monday, Justice Kavanaugh wrote an opinion to accompany the Supreme Court’s order vacating an injunction against the federal government enforcing federal law in the City of Los Angeles. As I was reading it, it quickly became one of my favorite opinions. He points out that the plaintiffs (three illegal aliens funded by communist groups) are suggesting that the federal government not be permitted to enforce federal law in parts of the country that do not agree with it. As the Supreme Court has pointed out many times, the President has to enforce all laws, not just those with which he agrees. Any city that interferes with his enforcement is it itself breaking the law. Moreover, the city officials who are refusing to allow the President to fulfill his constitutional duty are themselves violating their oath to support the Constitution.
Justice Kavanaugh also explains that their request for forward-looking relief is just as stupid. The plaintiffs want the courts to enjoin the President from enforcing the law because an employee might possibly break the law in the future by violating their rights. He points out that to do such a thing would be ludicrous.
My favorite part was when he dispensed with the plaintiffs’ claim that the federal government should not be allowed to look for Mexicans because it is racist. With more than 2 million Mexican illegal aliens living in Los Angeles, such an idea is downright asinine. Justice Kavanaugh had no trouble explaining the stupidity of such an idea.
It is almost as stupid as ordering police not to mention a suspect’s race after an eye witness tells them the race of the perpetrator. Yes, that is something else Los Angeles wants to prohibit.
Justice Kavanaugh decided to use the opportunity to warn the California District Judge and the liberal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals against making stupid decisions when the case is sent back down for their ultimate determination. It should be clear that the Supreme Court will overrule any decisions by the lower courts that limit the federal government’s enforcement of federal law.
(As a sidenote, the case is likely to die on the vine because the Trump administration is going to now deport the three plaintiffs, so they won’t be available to prosecute their own case.)

Notwithstanding Justice Kavanagh’s clear language, the next day two morons in the State of Illinois attempted to do the same thing as the whack jobs in Los Angeles.
The gigantic ignoramus that is acting as the governor of Illinois actually said, “just because people broke the law to get into this country doesn’t mean they are criminals.” Um, JD, you gigantic pile of Pritzker, breaking the law is what defines being a criminal.
The other moron, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, announced that he is spending taxpayer dollars to establish a system to help illegal criminals evade federal enforcement officers. I understand that not everyone is a lawyer so let me explain. That is acting as an accessory before the fact. It makes one an accomplice in the crime and also guilty of everything that the other criminal does.
I continue to urge the Department of Justice to prosecute some of these accessories for their own criminal behavior. That is the only way we are going to stop this behavior because most of the people who are leading the major cities in the United States are complete idiots.

Crockett has to be related to Hank Johnson (the island of Guam may tip over and capsize guy). Her latest brilliant statement is that cops are not here to prevent crimes but to solve crimes. I guess she means that cops shouldn't go in and take out a school shooter until they are done killing kids. Her constituents have to be among the dumbest Americans by continuing to vote her into office. And I won't even bring up Adam Schiff or Maxine Waters.
When President Trump has finished his term in office, the radical left will be diminished.
There are many more smart Republicans who will vote for Vance.
Anyone who can rename the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of America deserves my respect.
I don't think the dems were listening when Trump said "America first".
